Joint meeting with Nottingham Garden Club at Switlik Hall in Yardville
Special date: Wednesday, May 18th, 7 pm
Dried
Flower Arranging, Kathy Miller, dried flower designer
Come join us to meet Kathy Miller and see her make a large dried garden flower arrangement. Kathy will teach us how to make the most of our garden flowers and preserve them to enjoy all year long. Take a look at her sample arrangements that will be on display. Kathy will also have copies of her book "Harvesting, Preserving and Arranging Dried Flowers" on sale for you to purchase. Kathy is an author, lecturer and dried flower designer. She has appeared in numerous magazines from Better Homes and Gardens, Victorian Gardening and Gardening and Outdoor Living. She has appeared on the Discovery Channel and the Victory Garden to name a few. Her crowning achievement came in October 1979 when she made her first trip to the White House in Washington, D.C. to create some of her very own dried flower arrangements. To date, she has completed 58 dried flower creations for the White House – from Carter through G.W. Bush.
The Nottingham Garden Club will be selling raffle tickets during the meeting for the dried flower arrangement that Cathy Miller will be creating. Be sure to bring some cash to have the opportunity to participate in this fundraiser.
